Simax Clear Borosilicate Tube and Rod

Simax borosilicate tubes and rods are 32 COE. Because
of its low COE, borosilicate is more resistant to
thermal shock and can be annealed more rapidly. It can
also be worked longer than glass of higher COE.

Measurements are given in millimeters (mm). Weight and
number of pieces per case are both approximations.

Length and variance for tubing is:

4-7 mm outside diamater is 1500 mm +/- 20 mm with cut ends
8-10 mm outside diamater is 1500 mm +/- 10 mm with cut ends
11-48 mm outside diamater is 1500 mm +/- 10 mm with trimmed and glazed ends
50-165 mm outside diamater is 1500 mm +/- 5 mm with trimmed and glazed ends
12-50 mm outside diamater Ion-X Tubing is 500 mm length with +/- 20 mm with glazed ends

Length and variance Daisy, Iris and Scallop (Profile) tubing is:

15-48 mm outside diamater is 1500 mm +/- 10 mm with trimmed and glazed ends
50-80 mm outside diamater is 1500 mm +/- 5 mm with trimmed and glazed ends

Length and variance for rod is:

3-7 mm diameter rod is 1500 mm +/- 20 mm with cut ends
8-17 mm diameter rod is 1500 mm +/- 10 mm with cut ends
18-44 mm diameter rod is 1500 mm +/- 30 mm with cut ends

Length and variance for flat rod is:

10-17 mm diameter flat rod is 1500 mm +/- 10 mm with cut ends
18 mm diameter flat rod is 1500 mm +/- 30 mm with cut ends

Simax Shaped Clear Tube (or Profile) may be used to achieve special effects with less work. Scallop, Daisy and Iris shapes are available. Ion-X Colored Borosilicate Tubing is stocked in red. Simax clear rod and flat rod are also available.

All Simax products are available by the case. Some clear tube and rod is also offered by the pound (look for Sale Unit: LBS).
