1. How do I find a product?
We invite you to try the many navigation methods available on the D&L website.

  • Categorized Menu System (left side of each page)
  • Simple Search (top of each page)
  • Advanced Search (top of each page)

Categorized Menu Search
The categorized menu replicates the tabs and divisions of the printed D&L catalog. Each primary category includes a flyout menu for further refinement. Additional refinement is available from a listing of Subcategories located in a box on the top right of each result page. This is particularly helpful for glass manufacturers. For example, select Glass / Uroboros from the flyout menu, and you may further refine to Uroboros Ripple or Uroboros Ring Mottle, etc.

2. Simple Search
The simple search box looks for the entered text in item codes, item descriptions, categories and sub-categories. Do not use ", AND, NOT or the like. If you do not get results, try using a partial word, such as irid for iridized products.

3. Advanced Search
The Advanced Search allows you to use one or more of the following to located an item: Manufacturer, Color, Texture/Type and Keyword. The best way to understand it is to try it! If you have trouble finding a product, just ask. Call or e-mail and we will be happy to assist you.

The Advanced Search is especially helpful when looking for glass. Start by putting the word glass in the key word, then use the pulldown menu(s) to specify. For example, select Color: Green, to see all glass with green in it. Or select Color: Green and Texture/Type: Iridized to see all green iridized glass. You could add in Manufacturer: Uroboros to view only Uroboros iridized green glass.

There is also a checkbox option on the Advanced Search to search books only. For example, you can see all the books by CKE Publications currently stocked at D&L by selecting CKE on the Manufacturer pull-down menu and checking the box for books only. You may even Sort Results by Date Added to find the list of books in reverse chronological order.

Search Result Options
Any search which produces results will automatically include two pulldown options of the top right side of the results window:
• a list of every sub-category where products were found, and
• an option for Sorting the results.

SORTING:
You may sort the results by Date Added (to D&L's inventory), by Item number (alphanumeric), by product description (alphanumeric), or by Added Since Catalog which will filter the results to show only items added to the inventory since the last printed catalog.

SUB CATEGORY:
For example a search for Frit will return several hundred products. Using the sub-category listing on the results page, you could go directly to System 96 Frit, for example, for fewer results.

4. How do I find new items?
If you want to find new items on the D&L website you may click on What's New at the top of any page. You may also find the newest items from a specific group of items via the Sort By: Date Added feature. Let's say you want to see what Spectrum Glass has added recently. From the Glass fly out menu, select Spectrum, then choose Sort Results: Date Added. The list will re-sort to show the most recent additions first.

6. How do I join D&L?
First you must apply for an account. A complete wholesale application to D&L Stained Glass Supply, Inc. includes a questionnaire plus documentation. Click HERE for the questionnaire and click HERE for the checklist of documents. You will be notified when your application has been accepted.

7. How do I create a login for the D&L website?
You must have an account with D&L in order to create a login. Current customers may request a login by clicking HERE. Not yet a D&L customer? Click HERE to start the application process.

8. How do I find pricing?
Only current customers have access to pricing from D&L. If you are not yet a customer, click HERE to start the application process.

9. Pricing for current D&L customers
Current customers may use your D&L login to access the most current pricing information. Download or print your own PDF Price Guide from the D&L website. Simply login and click on the Customer Files link at the top of any page. Instructions for downloading the Price Guide and obtaining Adobe Acrobat are included on the Customer Files page. The Price Guide is listed in item number order. Discounts are shown with quantities listed per unit of measure (for example Bullseye Glass is sold by the pound; Uroboros is sold by the square foot, etc.). If you have a slow internet connection, we recommend downloading the Price Guide to your computer and using it off-line from your hard drive.

10. How do I know what my order will cost?
Each e-order will be confirmed by phone or fax. Pricing information can be provided at your request. Note that if you request pricing information and we are unable to contact you it will delay the shipment of your order.

11. How do I place an order with D&L?
You must have a current account and a login to place an order online. If you do not have an account, click HERE for information on applying. If you do not have a login, current customers may request one by clicking HERE.

Once you have logged in, you will notice each item has a quantity box and Add to Order button. To add any item, simply adjust the quantity as needed and click the Add to Order button. Items must be added one at a time. As you add items, you will remain on the same page, but you will notice a message at the top of the screen telling you the item has been added. Use any search method to locate the items you wish to add.

You may review your order at any time by clicking the View Order button and the top of the page. (Note you have additional options at the top of each screen after log in.) Use the View Cart to adjust quantities, remove items and to place the order.

12. How do I order more efficiently?
Swift Order is intended for customers who are familiar with D&L's item numbers. You may enter up to ten items at a time. Simply enter the D&L item number and quantity. The items will be added directly to your order. You may continue adding ten more items, etc. View or change swift order items at any time by clicking View Order.

13. How do I save an order in process?
Use your D&L login to place or start an order! The D&L website may be used as your shopping/restocking list. You may compile your order over whatever period of time you choose. Add items to your order normally, but instead of clicking on Place Order, select the Save and Logout button (shopping cart screen, bottom/left). The next time you login, your order will still be there, waiting for you. Save and Logout as often as you like and when you're ready to place the order, click on 'Place Order'. We'll do the rest!

14. What happens when I place an order?
When you place an order using D&L online, you will automatically receive a detailed copy of the order via email. The D&L web site does not include pricing linked to the products. However, you may view or print the price guide from the Customer Files area (instructions were give above). In addition, each e-order will be confirmed by phone or fax. Pricing information can also be provided by phone, email, or as a FAXed sales order during the order confirmation process at your request. Nothing will be shipped without your approval. There is plenty of room to add comments to your order if needed. Each E-order is handled with care and attention by the D&L staff.

15. Why should I order online?
D&L's online ordering available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and even on holidays. In addition, orders placed online are stored for you. You may review past orders or even print them. Click on Order History after you log in to see your previous orders.

16. What if I'm not comfortable placing an order online?
You may also place your order with D&L via FAX or by calling us. To FAX an order, write down the item numbers and quantities you need. Be sure to include a phone number where we can reach you along with the best time to call. To place an order by phone, just call us. We are ready to assist you from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Mountain Time at 800-525-0940.

17. How do I get a printed catalog?
Catalogs are only available to current customers. If you are not yet a customer, click HERE to start the application process.

Current customers may request a printed catalog (copyright 2005) be included along with an order. The D&L Catalog is in a 3-ring binder with colorful tabs which coincide with the flyout menu system of our website. The binder format allows for insertion of our sales flyers (with new product information), as well as updated price sheets, booklists and even complete catalog sections as they become available in the Customer Files download area of the website. The printed catalog is not current in product listing but includes more detailed information on many products.

18. How do I tell you about a change to my email, phone number, or address?
Login to the D&L website and click on My Account. Updates to your account made on My Account page will be stored. Changes made during the order process are not permanently stored.

19. How do I order a product from my catalog that I can't find on the website?
The D&L website is the most current listing of products available from D&L. The printed catalog was accurate when printed, but we add and remove products almost daily. You will find all available products listed on our website. Other items may be available as special orders. Just ask. Email us about any specific item you require.
